A beautiful feature to Le Monde, is its quiet atmosphere with the subtle piano music in the background. It’s a place you can really be in the moment for and soak in the experience. The service for any visit I’ve had including this one is always welcoming and engaging.

Before you order, complimentary biscuits will be brought to the table. Prepare to be in heaven. This biscuits have a harder exterior with a warm soft interior making for a magical combination.
The appetizer was another amazing start to our visit. A delicious hummus with oil on top mixed with chunks of pickles, tomatoes, and black olives. The pickles by far being my main target for every scoop. It was full of flavor and comes with a plate of pita bread cut in your typical triangle fashion. Certainly a must order appetizer!
Now, for my entree, I must admit I’ve visited several times before and always ordered the Diablo Rigate Pasta and loved it. But for this visit I decided to switch up and being a little different.
I ordered the Manicotti Florentine, which was considered by the waitress to be a popular choice. It came with manicotti pasta stuffed with spinach and veal, topped with Alfredo and marinara sauce, and a side of steamed veggies and garlic bread.
First off, this meal is plated beautifully, lots of color and uniform in a sense that it wasn’t just thrown on. The steamed veggies tasted fresh and the bread was toasted to perfection it was still soft but with that toasty crunch.
My food on the other hand was unfortunately hard to enjoy. It was extremely over salted to the point it was all I could think about. I tried to pinpoint whether it was the sauce or the meat but it was hard to tell. In parts of the sauce I could get the flavor (which was good) but another bite in and it was back to salt.
Here’s the menu.

Unfortunately this wasn’t the best experience, but I must say I overheard others tables around us raving about their dishes. One person ordered the burger another the shawarma. Maybe I ordered wrong and should have stuck with my go-to dish or maybe someone just accidentally knocked over the salt shaker. Regardless, I’ll be back. The service was excellent and the hummus and biscuits are real winners. Until next time.
