When it comes to pizza, brick oven style just holds a special place in my heart. That’s why it’s no question as to why I had to stop at Back Alley Pizza in Newton, Ks to see what the award winning pizza spot was all about!

Walking in, I loved the whole vibe. It was spacious with plenty of seating indoors and a newly re-vamped outdoor dining area with an awning perfect for catching the beautiful fall weather while enjoying a slice of pizza.
Looking Over the menu, I appreciated the display of all their pizza options next to the description. It really helped hone in on what I wanted to order as a new guest without feeling the need to search reviews online just to see pictures. The Brick oven in the back also provides customers with the opportunity to see the magic happen from preparation to oven.
Here are a few pictures of what you can expect to see on your visit!

When ordering I asked the staff on recommendations, they were super friendly and recommended the BBQ Pizza, slow smoked pulled pork with their own barbecue sauce, fresh mozzarella, pickles and even an extra drizzle of barbecue sauce. It was a no brainer.
The pulled pork was cooked into the pizza rather than just sticking big slabs of meat on top like other places. The barbecue sauce was bold and sweet. The flavor alone was amazing and getting that bite of a pickle just added to the experience. The crust was that perfect crust you’d want being from a brick oven style. Just the right crunch and not too dense. A simple pizza that fires on every tastebud.
If you’re in the area or in search for a new pizza spot to try, you have to make your way to Back Alley Pizza.
Enjoy,
Trent
